Medicines and syringes

Unused medicines and used syringes

Avoid putting unused medicines and used syringes in the garbage, in the sink or in the toilet. Many pharmacies accept these products for free. Please check with your pharmacist if they provide this service. If so, feel free to use it; this is the best solution for these items.

You can also bring your unused medicines during our household hazardous waste collections organized in our communities. However, the Chaleur Regional Service Commission does not accept used syringes. Please do not bring them to the collections in our communities, putting them in the garbage or take them to the Red Pine solid waste management facility.

If you have questions or comments, you can write to info@CSRChaleurRSC.ca or call to 725.2402 (888.820.5133).
