Public Notice - Temporary suspension of recycling collections

REVISION March 20, 2020

Due to the closure of Eco360 Recycling Services, offered at the Red Pine Landfill site, and following the recommendations of New Brunswick’s Chief Medical Officer in an effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the following measures will be implemented, STARTING MONDAY MARCH 30, 2020, for an indefinite period.

FOR THE CHALEUR REGION LOCAL SERVICE DISTRICTS:

  • Recycling collections will be interrupted;
  • Waste collections will take place every week. (The blue bin will not be emptied.)

FOR THE MUNICIPALITIES OF BERESFORD, NIGADOO, PETIT-ROCHER, POINTE VERTE AND BELLEDUNE:

  • Recycling collections will be interrupted;
  • Waste collections will take place every week. (The blue bin will not be emptied.)

FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF BATHURST:

  • The collection schedule will remain as is;
  • Bathurst residents can still put their blue bins at the roadside as is usual, knowing that recyclable materials will be disposed of in the landfill in the same manner as regular waste.

We encourage all to conserve recyclable materials at your homes, if possible, until regular operations resume.

IF YOU CANNOT CONSERVE RECYCLABLE MATERIALS AT YOUR HOME, WE INFORM THE POPULATION THAT ALL RECYCLABLE MATERIALS INCLUDED WITH WASTE WILL BE TREATED AT THE LANDFILL IN THE SAME MANNER AS REGULAR WASTE.

Our thanks to all for their understanding and cooperation!
